Word structure measuring instrument - rulers
The value that is attributed to words
as a way to understand our world is actually never really measured.
Connections of words are seen as structures. Structures of languages.
And those structures of languages are regarded as decisive for how we
think and act within a culture*
If that is true, can it then be
possible to measure these connections of words and what values are
then derived? A length, a weight, temperature, dimensions or
something totally different?
3 possible measuring instruments are
shown here to measure the values of words. Though there is yet no
standard to rely on the visitor is free to make one if the need is
there.
* The Sapir-Whorf
hypothesis: the structure of a language determines or greatly
influences the modes of thought and behavior characteristic of the
culture in which it is spoken.
